1. Customer-Initiated Cancellation
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or WhatsApp from the registered contact details. The following cancellation charges may apply:
Domestic Tours
- More than 30 days before departure: 10% of total tour cost
- 15–30 days before departure: 25% of total tour cost
- 7–14 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
- Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of total tour cost
International Tours
- More than 45 days before departure: 15% of total tour cost
- 30–45 days before departure: 35% of total tour cost
- 15–29 days before departure: 60% of total tour cost
- Less than 15 days before departure: 100% of total tour cost
Additional cancellation charges imposed by airlines, hotels, cruise operators, visa authorities, or other suppliers shall be deducted from any refund amount.
2. Visa Rejection
- Visa fees are non-refundable.
- If a visa is refused, cancellation charges and supplier penalties will apply.
- Focus India Tour is not responsible for visa decisions made by embassies or consulates.
3. No Show
No refunds shall be provided for:
- Failure to join the tour
- Late arrival
- Unused services
- Voluntary withdrawal during the tour
4. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will generally be processed within 15–30 business days after receiving all required documentation and supplier confirmations. Refunds will be made through the original mode of payment whenever possible.
5. Tour Cancellation by Focus India Tour
If Focus India Tour cancels a tour due to operational reasons, customers may choose one of the following:
- Full refund of amounts paid to Focus India Tour
- Credit note for future travel
- Alternative tour package of equivalent value
6. Force Majeure
Refunds for cancellations arising from force majeure events will be subject to recoveries received from airlines, hotels, transport operators, and other suppliers. Administrative charges may apply.
Payment Milestones
A common practice for Indian tour operators is to collect:
- 25% advance at booking
- 50% payment 30 days before departure
- 100% payment 15 days before departure (international) or 7 days before departure (domestic)
Including these payment milestones in your booking policy can help manage cash flow and reduce last-minute cancellations.
